This month's topic is about receiving guidance, from our guides and angels, from our soul and higher self. We all have this capability to attune; yet some of us are more able to receive than others. When we incarnate into this lifetime we take on the density of physical bodies and we gradually begin to lower the veil over knowing our connection with Spirit. As children we are very aware and intuitive, but the harsh reality of life in most of our families has us believing that we really do not see and hear our imaginary friends. After being told that we are imagining our Spirit connection, we usually move into survival mode. Later on in our lives if we are living with a disconnection to our inner wisdom, we reach a point where we often feel the push from within. We have a strong feeling that there is more. We begin to explore and read books that open us up to realms of possibility that we had forgotten about. We begin to believe that we are all intuitive; that we all have the capability of developing our sixth sense. Then we want to know how!

In these times of more and more energy pouring into earth, we are being offered the opportunity to co-create and see results quicker than in the past. We all have the potential to transcend areas of our lives that we do not care for and shift our consciousness to a higher frequency. However nobody outside of ourselves, physical or non-physical is going to do that for us. If you have an interest or perhaps a burning desire to connect with your Higher Wisdom, ask yourself why. Is it possible that you want to connect with a higher wisdom so that it can fix your life? Our guides will help us as we use our intuition to deepen our connection and strengthen our ability to receive — but they are not here to fix us.

Our guides and angels, even though they are always with us, are not easy to connect with. They are vibrating at a much higher frequency than we are. You may wonder if there is really any difference between Angels, guides, intuition, higher self, light beings, devas and hobgoblins? They are all just energy beings as we are, and each has a unique frequency. Ultimately we are all the same energy just vibrating differently. Some of us want to connect with angels. Some want their own guide to channel through them. Some just want to be more psychic and intuitive and others want to connect and receive from higher self. It is all the same energy, only our focus makes one area more important than another does. But we are very definitely heavier in our density than our spirit helpers; this makes communicating with each other quite a challenge. So how do we begin to open up and strengthen our connection?

First we need to take the time to listen. One way is through meditation, but another way that we can practice throughout our day is to take a moment to turn within. With eyes closed ask, what is my next step? Then be open as you look around you. Spirit is constantly sending us answers to our questions. Most of the time we are too busy to notice unless it is really obvious. All of life and everybody in it is our teacher, helping us to find our own answers. Of course we may be looking to be saved. I know for myself that as I ask a question if I take time to close my eyes for a moment and think about choices I will get a definite hit, one choice makes me feel queasy, and one usually feels OK. Or, perhaps neither feels OK, and I know there is another option.

When you ask for guidance, whether you are sitting in meditation or going about your daily business, look, listen and be open to receiving your answer through people around you, from TV, radio, books or magazines. Stay emotionally clear (meaning you can't have an energy of how it has to be, or feel your life depends on receiving the answer now!) Remember, that if you have an attachment to the outcome, you are pushing away the very thing you want. All of Spirit, especially our angels don't take themselves seriously. They know that all that we are creating for ourselves is illusion. We, on the other hand, tend to get stuck in believing that we are in a life and death situation. (Which is pretty silly when there is no death. We are energy and energy cannot die. It simply takes on another form!!!) One of the greatest lessons our guidance wants us to have is the idea of dancing through life — flowing with the possibilities that we co-create. If we can do this we become more relaxed and trusting and life can be lighter and more joyful. My book, Divine Abundance, tells you more about that subject.
